My new 2600 gallon plywood tank project

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Afternoon update.
Reaching the 32" mark on the height, then I can work on the top headers and where the window supports are going to sit.

More updates later tonight. The plan is to be Pond Armor ready by mid week then Pond Armor the tank by next weekend. Install the windows several days after that then wait 3 weeks for the silicone to cure. Looks like a leak test could begin as soon as July 12th.

Tonights progress report.

At the height where I need to start working on the window opening. (32") Also put in the opening for the overflow drain for my autofill feature.

Using 4x4s for the uprights as well as the headers.

Should be done with the rest of the tank and inside plywood on the walls tomorrow. Maybe get some Bondo down if there is still time.

On a side note which I am not sure is a major concern yet or not. I had planned for a 2" lip to support the 1" acrylic all around the perimeter but I ended up with 1 5/8" on the bottom and sides. Top will have 2 1/4".
