Really I think you are all of base with the 19 kids and counting. It is religious thing. I know tons of people in my area with large families because they believe birth control goes against god. (I am not getting a religious discussion or arguement so do not take it farther) There is a push to make most forms of birth control illegal (not getting into political debate either). The kids on this show are great people who care about others. Three of the kids are volunteer fire fighters, putting their life on the line of others. They continue to have children because, as they say they leave it to God. There are many people in the world who do this and end up with a few kids. They have ended up with a lot. I think it is wrong to compare them to some of the other reality shows. This family has great values and take care of their family. Most of their income comes from owning property. If they were having these kids to get famous, it would have started long before 17 kids when the show started. They can support their children, and had been prior to the start of the show. There basis in life is about religion, if anything you should be upset that they are using the show to educate people about their religious beliefs and keeping this strongly in how they raise their children. I think it is sad that people have just jumped on them because of other reality shows and what has happened. My wife watches this show and others and I have seen tons of them while serfing mfk on the couch.
If you wait to have children until you can afford them, then you will never have them, advice my father gave me. They are not animals who use the system to make a living, so lets stop comparing them to people who live of they system.
