Amongst the Catfish & Plecos
My dog found that I had left the lid off of my fish food tub and pounded back more than 5 lbs of NLS. 12 hours later, he vomitted all over the place. Fish foods in general have that strong fishy odor. NLS then has the added plus of a huge amounts of garlic. After sitting in a dog's backed up GI tract rotting away in bile for 12 hours, and the results spewd all over the carpet, that smell (and texture OMG!) will probably force me to change fish foods. I've got very good control over my gag reflex after working at an animal emergency hospital for several years, but this is up there with the worst of the worst.

So heads up. Do NOT let your dog get into the fish food....

LMFAO. Sorry to hear about that. But thanks for the warning. If I ever buy that much fish food, I will definitely be keeping it in a closet with a small portion in a jar for the week.

I feed just my 600 gallon about a cup a day so this is my portioned out amount that is all premixed. I mix about 7 lbs at a time, and he just happened to get into it not to long after. My other fish food is left sealed in the buckets until I'm ready to to use it...

Wow that's rough. So it's gross and stinky mess to clean never mind the cost of 5 lbs of nls isn't cheap.

Yeah tell me about it! It was actually about 1/3 Hikari Algae Waffers, so I would suspect it was about $65+ worth of vomit and diarrhea. (Not to mention the amount of carpet cleaner I've gone through to get that mucusy mud out of my carpet). Not something you want to wake up to at 4 am.

Lol sorry bout that just look at the bright side... If it were all hiker pellets it would be like 150 bucks worth of puke lol
