the petco by my house is keeping these snowflake eels in a horrible condition with small freeze dried pellets that r not made for them and r keeping them in small containers to keep them from attacking other fish and i mean small containers like ther only 5 in and they cant even spread out so i was wondering if i could take them in and raise the sg of my tank to .08 or around ther and then eventually move the salinity up even ore once they get older all comments will be appriciated.:)

If they are currently in fw start them out that way, then you can raise your salinity .02 every couple of weeks. Raising salinity to fast can crash your biofilter. At adult they do better kept in full marine.

Never heard of an lfs keeping their snowflakes in salt water. Just match the salinity there in now to your tank.

But i have a brackish tank so i cant so i think were goin in circles here wut im asking is can i acclimate the the snowflakes into bhigh brack from salt water.

thnx but the ones here are only juveniles and i have a 290 g brackish with rather high brackish and i do have a skimmer but i need to know if they can be kept in brackish at all even if i would eventually move them into full marine.

they are super hardy fish, you could probably keep them in brackish, but its not ideal, they aren't a brackish fish.

lolwut? ive never heard of an lfs keeping them in anything BUT salt

So um another fact ive heard about them is that fw snowflakes and marine sf eels r them same but fw morrays r just juveniles of the marines and swell idk but i suppose ill give it a try as long as u guys think that it wont die the second i put it in after acclimation.
