it's official: borders is closing

annoucement came out yesterday that they'll be closing all of their stores after closing 30 percent of them 5-6 months ago. liquidating starts as soon as Friday. Any thoughts?

my thoughts are i need to go spend my giftcard!

Really bothers me to be honest, I've been dreading this for awhile. I still much prefer real books to the electronic book collections like the Kindle, obviously most other people don't feel the same way. I just hope that Barnes and Nobles stays for a long time.

It sucks. I'd much rather go to the book store than have to just download an ebook. Barnes and Nobles was smart to make their own ereader so they can keep with the times and make money to compete.
