The snooks are growing nicely and some are starting to get some color and spotting. I have to admit that they're really fun and entertaining fish....especially for not being aggressive bruisers. I was a little worried at first they might be boring but happy to say I was wrong. Here's a few pics....the tank is super overstocked for now. The other fish besides the nine snook are an Ornatum, Grammodes, a Sveni and Cincta pike, a small female GT, and female Austalis, which I'll most likely sell some of those sooner or later. Oh yeah, can't forget the two striped rapheals and an Ornate bichir and five filament barbs. I added some extra bio-filtration in the form of an AC110 running a single sponge and the whole rest of the chamber is filled with Eheim bio-medium. Qustions and suggestions are welcome. :)

Thanks Ira for the hookup!

I like these snooks better than the orange ones. How big is your tank? I thought your grammy would cause havoc.

I def like these better than the orange variety. The tank is a 265g.

The Grammodes and Ornatum fight with each other and completely ignore everyone else....for now.

Sick ass tank. The snooks are off the hook though. Have you ever thought of mixing some red bay snooks with the wild morph?

Snook are looking good balton. The combiation of their size, color/pattern and non-aggressive personalities make them among one of the best all around species in the hobby IMHO. Really really nice I love'em.

So are these the snooks that get a more green color to them? I have looked for them here for a long time but they all seem to be the red variant here. I have to admit, even coming from one who normally keeps the more aggressive types. Seeing a tank full of large fish that are reasonably peaceful is both impressive and luring. I look forward to seeing how these guys pan out with some size. Nice setup!

these look way better then the red bay snooks

Thanks guys, I agreee :)

Never thought of mixing them. It would look cool in the tank but I really don't think it would be a good idea. The individual snook variants shouln't be be crossed imho.

I've always kept the aggressive types too. This is really my first venture into a big tank peaceful

They're coming along nicely. The black background really brings out their color.

Hey FP, I know mine and yours are from the same parents, but do you know if they're from the same spawn?
