THanks for asking AJ,
nothing has changed as far as I can tell. I was informed that I should consider a nematode infestation and I am pursuing that a little. I am heaping black worms into the tank for him. I have changed the velocity, volume, temperature of water. I have altered lighting levels. I have him quarantined. I have added a very calm female with him that feeds just fine. I have really just given up on diagnosing the problem.
I plan to just keep offering the freshest foods possible, cleanest water possible etc until he dies or eats. Nothing more to do but wait.

you say you have treated for parasites.
Which meds have you used? ( I expect the usual, prazi and metro)
Have you used Panacur?

if it were me id stop treating the tank and add some guppies to swim around and offer chopped earthworms just to get if feeding again. keep water changes small - once a week as large water changes can stress the rays out.

hope he makes it , good luck

Panacur, not yet. Ray safe?

Guppies, minnows, grass shrimp, blood worms, Tilapia pieces, Smelt Frozen raw shrimp, leaf worms, nightcrawlers, redworms, blood worms, black worms, squid, blah blah blah blah. Tried it all! Gunna keep trying it all. Thanks for the support.

Gunna read up on Panacur and consider it. Thanks. -FM

I have never used Panacur in rays or know if it is safe. Panacur though is such a general dewormer I expect it to be safe. Will need to be mixed with food and taken orally. I have used it with dogs, cats, horses, reptiles and fish. I actually have never heard of panacur not being safe with anything but am new to reef keeping.
