no no no, if you have no accurracy it doesn't matter how long you have to throw. you can't teach accuracy. you can minimize it with short throws (see chad pennington's entire lame career) but you can't drastically improve it. you also can't teach leadership. who really wants to follow beck and grossman anyways?

really? so Eli Mannings interceptions have nothing to do with the o-line not being as good the last couple of years, cuz he's had the same receivers.btw, when they won the sb, both their lines were dominant. You're caught up in the glamour, but football is about brutality!

i think eli manning is horrible for his entire career, not just last year so that's a bad example. Considering they ran the ball just fine i highly doubt his 25 interceptions had anything to do with his line though

i'm not caught up on glamour, your'e just looking at big picture at what has won in your life time (dominate defense and the running game), i'm looking at what's been efficient the last 3 years. some of it is rule changes, some of it is better athletes at QB

qb can make a big difference, but Eli has been getting a beat down lately. It's really about balance.you can be a running or passing team, but you have to do both.
And you just blew your own theory-How could they have won the sb with Eli if he sucks?I thought you said that was impossible or something:confused:

*sighs* i'm not going to go over the same topics over and over. rules have changed, we're a passing league now. running teams haven't won a superbowl in 3 years. that coincides with all the rules changes that favor the offense. i've mentioned that top passing teams did significantly better last year then running teams did. i've presented a bunch of reasons for why i feel the way i feel and i've mentioned that a weak QB can be carried by a strong defense (IE see eli manning superbowl year, mark sanchez, rex grossman in chicago, kerry collins in tennesee a few years ago etc etc). i just don't see Washington as a team that's capable of carrying rex grossman or beck this year, so sue me.

ps, playoff success is a horrible way to rate a QBs effectiveness. the best example from recent year is joe flacco first round match up against the patriots in 2009. he threw 4-10 with a pick, no TDs. his team won 33-14. let's compare that to aaron rodgers against the cardinals the same year. 28 for 42 with 4 TDs. team losses 51-45. Who was the better playoff QB that year?

" we can't seriously think the redskins have the offensive talent or defensive know how to make rex grossman or josh beck a winner in this league."-
I knew you would say that, hater.Of course you hate the skins-your teams nemesis! Of course the steelers d we installed last year wont make us better! No way the complicated Shanny offense could be better in year 2 ! adding speed receivers and running backs couldn't help.the offensive line gelling could not possibly help !
thanks for sharing your expertise!

as a lions fan i hate the skins because they're my nemesis? hahahahaha

sure it's year 2 but it's starting over with a new QB. why is it that year 2 is suppose to be a huge improvement for the redskins but year 2 won't be an improvement for the philly's with vick in his second year under that offense? keep in mind he did not take first team snaps last year and was not designed to be the starter. why should washington leap frog the other teams in the division?

"mentioned that a weak QB can be carried by a strong defense (IE see eli manning superbowl year"
dude, that's ridiculous.they had a great RUNNING game, and Eli made the game winning throw! balance

no no no, the dude made a great catch!

ps, you repeated what i've already said...eli had the right weapons around him (a running game) and the defensive know how (a light's out pass rush) that prevailed the TEAM to a championship. i have no reason to lay the credit on the QB

.....it's rex's 3rd year learning the offense.phillys o-line has looked REALLY bad in PRE-seson-VICKS 3RD year also.he sat a year behind d-mc.Every team in the division is having o-line issues except wash. You may think that doesn't matter, but it does-alot !
