Yea, 49ers lost... against a real team. However they go back to low carders. The only other real team they go against is the Steelers

I just saw this on MSN and thought it was pretty funny: Fiancee to Ochocinco: No touchdowns, no loving.

I wouldn't refer to the Ravens as a real team. What real team can easily compete with teams that are at or above their level yet get confounded multiple times by teams that are far below their level? Of course then, I see a real team as one that doesn't take "lesser" opponents lightly and attempts to just focus on winning all of their games rather than overly focusing on the tougher ones.

Elway was a 4th quarter hall of famer.Honestly though-it seemed like they relied on him too much. The running game renewed his career.Remember the 3amigoes and favorites to beat the skins in the bowl, but t.smith had about 200 yds rushing
It was the O-line at the end of his career that was the biggest factor, IMO. Not taking anything away from TD, but they could have put most anyone in there and made them look like a good runner...and they did, pretty much.

So you guys are saying that Elway is not a Hall of Fame QB? Exactly what "rating" is he given that he is not Worthy Of? As far as Denver fans thinking he is "god" well typically that's how most great players are viewed by their home fans.
not saying he's not a hall of famer, either. I don't think Joe Montana was God...nor Steve Young. IMO, Marino was a better QB than any of them, but Steve Young was my favorite to watch. I'll put it this way...I'm from PA the land of the crazy Philly fans and I used to like the Donkeys before I moved out here and I started hating them because of the crazy Broncos fans.

i state again, there's no debate and t's not about balance. is denver's attack balanced by completing 2-5 passes a game? no. are the top teams in the league utilizing a balanced attacked? Green bay? New England? New orlean? all clearly passing teams. you don't even see running teams until the next tier. Houston and San Francisco and Baltimore (running teams) and pittsburge (passing team). Once again, there's no debate. are you even watching the same nfl i'm watching? you are refusing to believe what your eyes are seeing.

you know nfl fans and analyists are smarter these days because of the popularity of fantasy football? every stat is analyzed by every player on every team. it's so obvious that a blind person can see that the amount of team's having success from the passing game has increased while the number of successful running teams have declined. the top individual rushers this year includes names such as Matt Forte, Arian Foster, Fred Jackson, Lesean Mccoy...RB that catch the ball! get out of here with this running still wins crap!

there no debate, yet you keep debating. If you think winning teams only pass.think again.stats are a lie.so the top rushers can catch the ball.wtf does that even mean?your points aren't even points!Denver is obviously saying-come up to defend our run,so we can hit a deep pass.-balance! you aint no baller, your just a stats geek that aint never been on a field! G.B.,N.O.both run well....N.e.uses the short pass game as substitue for run. Please no more of your hollowed out b.s. save for your pre-school friends

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha + face palm!!!!!!!!!! fo real dude? First off, this WHOLE topic of rush vs pass teams being more successful is based on stats. Second, i never once said a team does only one. are you even serious right now? you act like i said certain teams ONLY pass or only rush. Also, please go look up stats, i don't even need to bother to know that Green Bay, N.O or New England aren't in the top 10 for rushing yards or attempt for games. Really odd considering their stats are scewed because they're mostly ahead...giving them more rushing attempts then a team that's always behind. know why....THEY CAN'T RUN or choose not to because it's a passing league!

just for kicks, i just looked. new orlean 8th in rushing, new england 15th, green bay 28th in yards

Attempts, new england 13th, n.o. 20th, green bay 25th. there ya go. stop denying the obvious bro

top rushing teams in order, denver, philly, houston, oakland, minnesota. Great records eh? you know why this isn't even a debate, you're going off how you feel...i'm going off the stats.

Greenbay might be 28th in yards - but that really reflects more on play calling than anything else.

Starks through the week where he was injured was averaging over 5 yards a touch.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/13214/james-starks

Now its only 4.5 - but the man can run when called upon.

During Ryan Grant's 1200 yard seasons - we were giving him over 18 touches a game on average - you feed a man the ball that many times he is going to find daylight sooner or later.

So another thing that has to be taken into account is play calling. Desperate teams (see Denver) are oftentimes called to run the ball more.

hmmm, i need to take into consideration play calling. well, i think if i take into consideration play calling, it actually proves my point that it's a passing league...... thanks though

to dwelve a lil further into your point though, i don't htink green bay is a good example. why should i take into consideration play calling when green bay spends 7-9 minutes at the end of the game mixing in the run more then they do the rest of the game because they've been ahead multiple TDs in almost all of their games? didn't that scew the stats a lil bit already by moving their rushing attempts up more then say..........a .500 team?

Also, you lost me on your last point about Denver....desperate teams don't run the ball more. find me a team that said crap, we're down10 points, lets just keep running the ball! Denver is running because tebow can't throw it, not the other way around

I labeled them as a 'real team' because they are tied in 1st place. They have beaten Steelers and the Texans who are also tied in 1st place.

However, they have lost to low-carders such as Jaguars and Seahawks. I guess we will have to wait until next year to see if they were just a fluke.

Hmmm.....so the Superbowl Champions last year were not a real team because 3 of their loses were against 6-10 teams plus a loss to a 7-9 team?
