Well ive been thru quite a few Umbee fry from the General and I plan on keeping this guy as my Rio Mag to breed into the Location X & Z program:) This guys freckles and color are looking great at 4" so i had to put him under my wing;) So since i sold my original 5Star and he put to his grave, I am now giving the name to this lil up and coming stunner:headbang2 I will put together a lil progression thread here so i can look back to compare his growth. Sorry about all the pics lol I hope everyone doesnt mind.

Nice colors Jason I like him.

Nice looking little male Umbee. I don't get the naming on these now though. Location x, z, gorilla? From the title I thought I was going ot see an umbee and a west african 5 star, lol. Do nice fish really need made up names?

Thank you guys and yes i must have the names. It makes it easier during conversation when talking about certain fish by just saying a name instead of trying to describe by colors, size, etc especially since i tend to have a good number of the same species. and the Location X,Z and Gorillus are the names of different locations just like rio mags not the names of the fish... this guy is a rio mag and his name is 5star!!

To each there own, but there is no location x, z, gorillus, etc on a map. I don't get the need to hype nice fish, let there traits speak for themselves. That's just my opinion, I understand others feel differently.

Like I said though, nice looking Umbee. Hopefully he will grow into a 16+ monster that you can enjoy for years to come.
