Tank looks good (except them blue plants lol). My suggestion for dithers is Giant Danios. They're very active and get big enough neither fish could eat them.

lmao right.. i just threw them in there in an emergency, i dont like them either :/ im planning on switching to real plantsi went and got three more black skirt tetras since i had one already.. they seem to br pretty tough and quick
Well, as long as they help it doesn't matter what you put in there. As for real plants, they may eat them depending on what you do get. I know my fish didn't like Hornwart... funny watching them try and nibble and shudder lol
Putting more stuff in the tank was a good idea. You created a bunch of mini territories instead of one big one. If it wasn't for all the plants & rocks in my tank the JD, Convict, and Firemouth would have a mosh pit.
If you need dither fish, Giant Danios would be cool. I'd avoid Silver Dollars in anything smaller than a 6' tank.
i have four black skirt tetras a juvenile female dempsey and a four or five inch con and temporarily six half inch cons (til they grow a bit) in a 55 gallon, could i add some giant danios? or is that a bit overstocked? cuz now i wanna get em haha maybe when i get rid of the baby cons i would have room
As long as you have good to great filtration and keep up on water changes you could do it. All it can do is help thin out aggression.
I'd get a couple more of the tetras. The bigger the school, the more secure the fish in it feel.
