A few pics of Al's Festae

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Very nice, keep put more pics..

Looking good Al! are there any other occupants in with them besides the clown loach? Thanks for sharing..:)
Thanks for checking them out! I appreciate the feedback. There are 5 Clown Loaches and a young Jag in the tank with them. The Jag has been growing out in there for a few months. It will be moved out shortly to the tank that it was intended for. In the end I would like to have a tank with a Festae pair, the loaches, and maybe a school of BATs

Very nice, keep put more pics..
Thank you! I will have more pics and a video soon.

They look good Al. In know what it's like to be without a decent camera. As for your frustration getting them to spawn, I'm going through the same thing in that department as well. Good luck with the new female.

Thanks, Ed. It looks like some people can just walk by their tanks and their Festae pair off and breed. (FWP and Umbeeking come to mind lol) J/K I'm fully aware that it's more involved than that. Those guys dedicate a lot of time and patience to their stock. But I enjoy my Festae regardless. I just don't want to end up with one large male with a female cowering in the back. I intend on keeping them until they finally die of old age. I hope you have much success with your Festae. Good luck, Ed. Oh, I hope we both get better cameras soon:).

Very nice, Al! Love the color they're developing.
Thanks! I'm pretty happy with them too.
Here are two vids that I filmed this evening, also compliments of Droid. I may have to separate the female from the male as he is getting rougher on her. You can see a bit of that on her tail. I know it will be hard, but please try to ignore the glare from my reef tank. It's nearly impossible to film this tank without the reef tank appearing on the glass.
