Yes, it is a feral. He is actually bigger than he looks in the pic. I can't wait to setup the 300 for him.

You have any issues with him crashing into stuff or eating? Some of the feral adult cichlids I caught in Hawaii acclimated quite well and some never acclimated.

Thanks! Does anyone know if the missing part of the dorsal will ever grow back? it doesn't appear to be too deep.

Can't say 100%, but looks like it should heal.
