ok, so a little update
so i downgraded, which kind of blows. portable internet at your disposal anywhere anytime was sweet. i miss it. but it has to be done.
anyways, my internet was super slow because of some issue at verizon's end. they fixed it and it is considerably faster. but dsl in my area is only so fast. I can view youtube videos now with no problems except hd quality videos. those will stop and buffer throughout the video but not nearly as bad as it was before. if i had fios in my area that would fix the issue but my neighborhood is older and it doesn't look like they're gonna waste money getting us fios so unless i try to switch to another carrier i'll have to live with my internet speed.
and my prime had a white line down it's side that showed up. so what i did was got a refund and i bought the ipad2 just so i can have both of them to compare. so far, i like the prime better. i felt that navigating thru the prime was easier. and i do notice that the prime is faster so i'm trying out the ipad2 this whole week and will most likely return it to get another prime. the camera on the ipad2 is VERY disappointing. VERY. i know apple is known for having the best cameras on their iphones but they screwed up big time imo with the ipad2's camera. it's horrible. the prime's camera is 8 megapixels and the images come out crisp.
also a deal breaker is the prime's keyboard that you can get to attach to it and it becomes a little laptop. that and the keyboard comes with a battery so that's a plus. using the prime with the keyboard will use up the keyboard's battery before using the prime's battery. i do notice that the battery life on the ipad2 is better but that's about it. at least for what i need it to do. also apple doesn't support adobe flashplayer. so if you have an ipad2 and wanna watch hulu, forget about it
so to sum it up, i'm picking the prime for the following reasons:
camera - prime>ipad2
speed - prime>ipad2
adobe flashplayer - prime
battery life - ipad2>prime but i'm planning on getting the keyboard so prime>ipad2
apps - ipad2 required me to enter credit card info, WTF??? even if you are only trying to get free apps. lame, prime>ipad2
