What would you call a good beginner ray? And what is important to keep them? i just search for basic infos. Im uncertain if i take 3 turtles or a ray.

Motoro is the best beginner ray but hystrix and leo are also good. But motoro and leo grow huge so I'd go with Hystrix.

i don't think i could provide a tank large enough for motoro. Im really not sure now if i take a ray or the turtles...i saw those rays on youtube and i'm amazed.

Motoro is really the best beginner ray for the price and their durability. The 3 smaller species are hard to find and cost more. If you can find a hystrix then that would be the better choice as they stay smaller. Rays are demanding so if you are not fully committed then go with the turtles.

Go with a ray. They can be hand fed, are very active, and will blow peoples minds. Most people don't even know that freshwater rays exist. Girls seriously dig rays. Oh yeah, and they breed...the rays I mean...

Get a domestic bred retic ray. If they are born in your local water they are very hardy ime. Wild skinny ones that dont eat are another story.

retic and hystrix so far are the only species i think would work for the start. Motoros would be cool, but they are simply too big.

turtles are more demanding than rays if you want keep them right. I habe 3 options rint now...turtles, ray or a brakish tank.

What kind of turtles are you talking about? I've had turtles and they were quite easy to take care of.
