thanks for the advice guys! ill guess ill go with around 20ish. i wanted a good amount anyway, just didnt wanna over do it. so that sounds good to me! and ill make sure to mess up their territories too when i add new ones =)
quick update...hopefully the pictures worked on this post..finally got one of my old tanks set up, spray painted the back black..either today or tomorrow im goign to my sisters house to get some of her media from her tank to establish mine then ill have fish soon..coming along well so far
20 is going to be too many unless you don't plan on keeping most of them. The footprint, not the gallonage, is really what counts with mbuna. I'd only do 10 maximum.
Thanks for the advice man. I wanna get a definite # before I go buying too many. And I def plan on keeping all the fish I stock in here so I gotta get the best answer.. I wanna have enough to try and keep aggression as low as possible but I don't want to crowd it either.

he is saying with 10 you would have 2 dominants one on 1 side the other on the other side and the rest fighting in the middle. Could you please give the dimensions of the tank? I would definitely go 15-20 mbuna that would be a perfect number. ( can't tell you for sure unless I got the dimensions)
