it does not matter if it is easy to break the law. It is still breaking the law! this thread has gotten ridiculous.

Whatever Mr. Sheriff.

Ideology, ideology and ideology. A very foolish mindset to run around with. Not everything individualistic can or should be turned into a universal right, much less the right to maim yourself via the means of a captive creature. Strangely, you seem to be obsessed with the idea that the only "being" that is hurt in the case of envenomation or similar harm. The whole industry is harmed and its legislative sustainability, with it. Live with that fact.

We are not your parents, nor are you immune from criticism, just in case you raise that later.

Here is the link to the new legislation. http://www.freshfromflorida.com/pi/enpp/pdf/Guideline-for-Importing-Exotic-and-Non.pdf it states:
So, thanks for that.

Interesing... however, instead of blaming me for interacting with my pet, why dont you go complain to the people who RELEASE or LOSE their pets? The reason this specie got restricted isn't owners get bit occasionally and have to go to hospital, It's mostly because if it escapes, It might reproduce and pose a threat to Florida's environment, much like the pythons

ruckaisawesome has one even if it is illegal. I don't know the laws in FL but here in Colorado pet stores are allowed to sell ANY exotic pets including the illegal ones. You think it is difficult hiding a little illegal centipede?

technically its not illegal in my state:D I live in Louisville Kentucky, I got it when i was vacationing in Florida haha

That's fine really, minus the fact that your "pet" doesn't require human interaction. We don't really have to care about the reasons behind the restriction, you're pretty much committing; if I must, the lesser of two evils.

Similarly, its like saying, go convict the guy who killed 100 people instead of blaming the guy who committed a single murder. It doesn't matter, both are pretty screwed up.

To be honest it's nothing like killing a 100 people or even one. The comparison is ridiculous as he's not risking anyone but himself and any reaction the government may take in response is no ones fault other than those who choose to let the government get away with passing ridiculous legislation based on a one off. The government only passes such laws to try and keep up the appearance of doing something to protect the people, it's all a publicity act that as hobbyists we're the victim of and rightfully so if we choose to kowtow to by browbeating each other rather than fight the government. It's the act that is prevalent in this thread which empowers the government and will eventually lead to our hobby being greatly reduced or perhaps being summarily destroyed. The more you kowtow rather than fight the more the government will pass such laws. Remember the government is here to serve us, not for us to live in fear of. If you want to take a stand do it against those who pass the laws. Fact is the act of handling a centipede that may sting him but won't kill him affects no one but himself. It's less of an effect on society than those of us who speed in our cars. So unless you've never sped or broken any law no matter how insignificant you consider the law to be the choice to find fault with the OP is hypocritical, that's despite the fact that he's not actually breaking a law as no ones offered one that he has broken.

the guy holding the snake is so fake. lol

from age of 17-19, I used to drive to cross the railroad to beat the train all the time till one day I got hit by the train. Im thankful and lucky to be alive today. Never again will I do that.

Same with steve Irwin. Keep f**king with them one day you gonna get it then you learn.. LOL

Try to be brave and courageous in another way.

So you bought it in Florida...where it is illegal to purchase, transported it over state lines which makes it another federal offense, and now your bragging about it on MFK? Way to make our hobby that much better bud
