Very nice

Thank you.

Uaru are usually really easy when it comes to food. They basically eat anything and everything, but amphiacanthoides and fernandezyepezi. They probably just need more time to settle in first.

They still don't like pellets but I'm not too worried. Going to spoil them for a few days with worms :) i swapped the Geos out with some GBR grow-outs And they are a little outgoing now.

definitely a dream uaru.. feel like selling my amphis to get a small group of fernendez

Thanks. I like them both. U. amphiacanthoides has a lot of personality.

Good luck with them Peter. I'm sure you will do great with them.

Mine didn't really show interest in veggies until they got larger, probably around 5 - 6". I used to put whole romaine leaves in the tank with clips and leave them. After a few hours, I'd come back to find just the white stem left. They'd eat all the green leafy bits off and leave the rest.

The bigger ones I got last year loved romaine. Problem was the green poop....disgusting...

Ontogenetic dietary shift maybe? Just read some interesting papers on this in juvenile neotropical fish.
