like i said let him lose money then he will know firsthand instead of knocking his age he said his dad would help so let them learn firsthand instead of just trying to knock him

I haven't slammed him. Just your advice lol. Losing money that's not yours is not learning first hand.

True, if the tank leaks, it'll be learning the hard way on his parents dollars...

Also andrew, no offense, but i really think you should get a pro to build this tank... It seems your dad doesnt really seem to know how to go about this build, especially if hes only looking at videos online...

As suggested, get him to sign up here and talk to some of the DIY builders, coz at least then he can ask questions an not "guess" how people build there tanks...

^ it may defeat the purpose, but will almost definitely save him having to worry about explaining to his parents how come there is 810G of water on the basement floor...

Are there any experienced plywood tank builders willing to build it in new jersey? How much would they charge? If you are willing, pm me and we might be able to work something out.

Bass are not cheap if you go with the very nice breeds and get top quality fish and they also have a massive diet if I didn't fish and catch them fresh fish fillets all the time I don't know if I could keep up with them but I had a mono, Azul , temensis, pinima , and I also had a kelberi that is not pictured but I bought the 5 and I got a really good group buy at 700 bucks which was cheap considering the smallest one was my tem at 8 inches so it's definitely something to keep in mind plus they do get big and if you keeping more then one I wouldnt suggest anything smaller then 265 here are a few pics of mine as you can see the first pic is of the 4 in the persons tank that I bought them from the second pic shows how much my mono really grew he was the fastest growing out of the group ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1337570663.570602.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1337570711.819194.jpg
