only seen them in a lake once. spent weekends fishing at the lakehouse for 15+ years and one time there were millions, gone the next weekend. definately a strange creature, Im impressed thy survived for months in a bowl!

Thought some peeps might be interested in these. Converted my pool into a pond for my pbass a while back. After a few months I had a bloom of freshwater jellies. Had a second bigger bloom a few months after with hundreds appearing. They all eventually vanished and haven't had them since. I assume the pool is full of polyps now though I have removed the lillies they probably originally came in on. Did keep a handful for a few months in a round fish bowl and fed BBS.

..I have been trying to get ahold of these for years!!!!..i think you could ship me some?!?!?!

there is one lake here in WA with them..and iv been trying to get to it but they don't show them selves very often

As far as I know jelly blooms are even a rare sight in nature. Let alone the fact you had a bunch in the pool awesome. I'd be interested in some as well hehe >=]
