so didn't get to order the salvadors but a friend managed to get some of the cichla temensis "bahia" ill post pics maybe tomorrow or the next day of the 4 inch fish. im thinking it would be a pinima since there are no temensis in the state of bahia in brazil. i saw it this morning just arrived from transport so i didnt take a pic yet. but it does have the body shape of temensis/pinima. ill also paste here what paul reiss of acuteangling.com had to say when i asked him the same question regarding these fish..
"Cichla temensis’ range is indeed restricted to the Central Amazon lowlands (in the Northwestern part of Brazil and the Orinoco basin in Columbia and Venezuela). It is not found in either Salvador or Bahia (other than in fish tanks, perhaps). C. pinima however, is found farther east in blackwater Amazon tributaries almost to the mouth of the Amazon. This is likely what’s being referred to. For more information about these species, see here; http://www.acuteangling.com/taxonomy/peacock-bass-species.html
For their natural ranges, see here; http://www.acuteangling.com/Maps/Peacock-bass-maps.html"
