On a serious note, what's been the fight of the century so far that everyone will talk about 40 years from now? Truly everyone, not the boxing diehards. Im talking the fight so big national news ( in america, i understand boxing is striving overseas) had to recognize it.....and your fav hot female celebrity knows about it. The twilight of de la hoyas career?

there is no fight of the century looming because .....only 2 boxers are even remotly well known...until someone has the forsight to put boxing ahead of promotional self intrest (are you listening DON KING ,BOB ARUM)and get boxing back on network tv so we can pick out who we like boxing will remain in hibernation
 
I think Don King is about finished,seems like he has been for the past few years.The big two now are Arum and De La Hoya.....I do miss ABC WideWorld of Sports from years ago.ESPN does a decent job of televising boxing most Friday nights.

you hear about money crying and trying to get out of prison? claiming he's deteriorating physically because he's on 23 hour lock down and not eating. wants to be moved to house arrest. i'm sorry...but you beat your women in front of your kids and then were bragging about how even martin luther king spent time in jail....if you're sooooooo proud of it pretty boy, serve your time and keep your mouth shut

Lol, thought we were wasting time arguing? I was done debating boxing with fish nerds but since you asked,....

I was exaggerating when I said century, too many great fights to list and too big a time frame. What I should've said was decade. And off the top of my head, two fights come to mind, diego correllas vs Jose luis castillo and arturo gatti vs andre ward. Great trilogies. If u wanna show someone new to boxing some great fights YouTube those. Also barrera vs morales fights were great as well as morales vs pacquiao trilogy. Off topic but greatest upset for me personally in boxing is buster vs tyson

But this is an unfair question really. It's like asking what's the greatest basketball game that EVERYONE will be talking about 40 years from now.

i can tell you what will be the best basketball game of the last 12 years that everyone will be talking about 40 years from now that even heidi montag pratt will know, not really all that loaded of a question. i rest my case sir
