My new baby and life long friend! :)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
screaming is an unfortunate and all to common that seems to affect a lot of macaws but it's not actually a normal characteristic. i mean yes they do like to be loud from time to time and it's healthy to let them be loud, but constant, deafening screeching for attention is a problem that can usually be avoided with proper training and enrichment. It can be broken once it's started to but it's a lot more difficult to fix the problem than to prevent it.
Obviously I am hoping to avoid all those problems lol will see how well I comprehend positive reinforcement and how patient I am >.>

Positive reinforcement works wonders! All of the birds that I've seen it used on never scream for attention. If it can work on gray wolves it can work on parrots.

Oh congradulations! I am so happy for you! I know what it feels like after waiting so long and finally a dream come true! Voodoo is so cute! Please post progress pics and let us know how that little cutie comes along!

it depends on the breeder, most run around $900-$1200. most breeders will also not sell them before they are weaned (mine wont be), unless you have hand raised birds before and know how to do properly.
