Suriname Hoplias Curupira

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Time for an update...
12-13" Curupira 1-0-0, all by TKO
9" Curupira 0-0-1

I messed up on this one... Min 5 days w/no feeding due to extensive work hours! To tired to even feed my fish. It was rough adjusting to the sudden 30hr OT week n I finally turned the light on last night to see some fresh wounds on my smaller Curupira.

Quickly put him in my frag tank that's plummed under my 300 (in stand) and woke up to him floating! Big boy put a beating on him. Under his jaw was a chunk missing, top of his back, a small chunk, sides had gashes w/one side having more damage n another small chunk taken out.

Was so close to trying to add 1-2 more Curupiras... Oh well. Guess I'll just stick to one.

I did burry him and hope to dig him out in a year or so to check out his skeleton :)

Sorry to hear. What size tank and how long did the cohab last? 2 months?

Yup, it sucks but I knew there was a risk!
I had the combo for 5-6 months (ballpark)?

Yes, Armatus is still in there. Not sure if I want to toss the Vulture in yet... maybe in 2 weeks I'll add the Vulture and the Rio Mag Umbee :headbang2

Sorry for your loss, Big Dogg!

It happends...

Hey Guys I feel kinda proud to see that the wolf fish is appreciated over there. I'm from Suriname and here this fish is just seen as a food source.
Funny how we fishkeeprs are. You guys import these fish and I geuss pay alot of $$$. And I bought a imported baby gator gar for $250 on this side of the planet.
What's the price for one of these guys over there?
