I never realized that Istlanums had such contrasting colors. They are really nice! Those dithers aren't too shabby either

Thank you. Im not 100% but i believe males get upto 14 maybe 16" and females i would say around 8-10" the last time i talked to George which was last year, he said that the male was around 12-13" and female 9"....Thank you
the male in first set of pics is 6.5-7" and female is 4.5" the male in second set of pics is 4.5" and my smaller female that isnt shown is 4"Thank you. Istlanums are prone to bloat just like Bartoni, Beani, and Haitiensis. Best bet is to leave them alone if all possible, meaning least amount of stress. another is to know what to look for in signs of bloat before handling. if there are signs i recommend treating or allowing fish to recover prior to moving. there are some good threads pertaining to bloat issues that can go more into detail for you. Just use the search engine

IStlanums have always been one of my favorites
IMO theyre the smaller versions of Umbees I love the colors, attitude and personality of them. I took as much as could without them and couldnt stand it anymore LOL so now im back with the Istlanums again 
and this time im gonna keep a pair for sure. Ultimately because i finally found a speciman from my original wild pair, which was a pain in the ass to track down
and now that i have him, im not letting him go. Sadly for me, i only have room for one pair which means as beautiful as the big male is, i will most likely have to let him go
And as for the dither, Im really looking forward to the Midas i just got from Rapps!!! The umbees are from Fsirico and are coming along nicely with great freckling and as nice as those lil umbees are gonna be, they wont hold a candle to my lil Magnum X fry im growing out In fact i havent seen any umbees look as nice as they are at 1-1.5"!!! these lil guys are gonna hit the umbee game like a Mac Truck!!!!

Nice istlanum. Wonder why rapps didn't give me a call because he has me down for a few fish I want and the istlanum is one of them
