  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
When I had my Oscar, I had him with a gold sev, Hoplarchus psittacus, silver dollars and had no issues with that mix. But this was in a 210g.

I'll have to check them out.

Right now I have a 4" Green Terror, 3" Gold Severum, 3.5" Black Belt and a 3.5" Carptinis (sizes are estimates)...Not sure what I'm going to end up keeping out of them, but they're currently in a 55 gallon until I get my 6' tank. I also have a 29 gallon setup for my son and he has a 2" Firemouth and 2" German Ram in there.

Fantasic Fins - plymouth hands down best if you want selection of all variety and good customer service
Cichlid World - garden city obviously cichlids most are beautiful almost all are priced at 10 bucks and usually have great looking fish store is kinda of hole in the wall. awesome i think 600 gallon tank huge pacu and another tank has huge Budda
Pet Station - telegraph, Dearborn new ownership other owner was selling snakeheads new owner seems to be a great guy not bad deals he is just getting started though so i cant vouche too much on it
Jan's tropical fish - alittle north of Pet station on telegraph not much selection at all but great deals and very old couple own it very nice. only been twice(i like the rarer stuff)
Pet Connection - 5 mile middlebelt not bad mostly salt clean shop have a some rarities once and awhile at good prices. service not too bad.
Something Fishy - Wayne and Cherry Hill westland very clean store have alot of salt FW isnt that bad prices arent either (also reptiles) Service isnt the greatest though.
Fish Doctors - Ypsilanti great selection in FW prices ehh not too bad service not bad been there twice
Fish Doctor - Canton not bad service not bad selection and not bad prices
I still havent gone to University Aquarium in ann arbor
and a few i cant remember off the top of my head lol hope that helps

CR I agree with your list, I've been to all of those stores except Pet Connection (which I'll probably check out today now that I know where it is haha). Something Fishy is my goto LFS since it's near my house and they have a nice selection of supplies and equipment.

House of Pets - Ford Rd & Middle Belt in Garden City they have a pretty big setup, but not a very big selection of cichlids. Very clean store though and have a nice selection of reptiles too.

Goody's - Michigan Ave and Wayne Rd in Wayne not a huge tank setup, but it's all FW and they have pretty good prices and very friendly customer service.
