This is Marshall ! I adopted him 4 months ago ! he had just turned 2 when I got him. He was owned by a family till he was one and was an "outdoor" dog in the city... yeah so basicly they had a fenced in backyard and a dog house and left him out there... They gave him up to the local shelter at age 1, since he was never trained or walked or really cared for he had terrible manners ! No one wanted a big dog with no manners ! Well I took the challenge ! I guess black dogs are bad luck like black cats ? Who knew ? So he stayed in the shelter for a year ! when I got him his armpits and underbelly was hairless from being in such a small kennel for so long ! TERRIBLE ! I wanted a bigger dog but something about this boy got me. So I took him home and within 2 WEEK! YES 2 WEEKS! I had him fully house trained with stay, sit, laydown, high five, jump and walking OFF leash with me... Since he has been with me he has gained 10 pounds, ive had people stop to compliment me on how good he looks andhe has grown an inch of hight... Currently training him to retreive ducks for me ! he will be a great hunting dog soon!

I don't have a dog to show off currently but just in the past few days I was offered two puppies...FOR FREE.The first one was young AmStaff and then today a neighbor of my mother's offered me one of her young Rottweilers.They both are very tempting either or but I just don't have the time for them right now.

Next is Barney, he was left at the shelter after being with a family over 10 years..we have had him for 2 now

great to see a rescue beagle in here! I'm a big fan of what the Beagle Freedom Broject do (check em out; http://www.facebook.com/BeagleFreedomProject), would love to take on one of their dogs some day, my heart just about breaks every time I read the stories behind the dogs...
