There was this picture.I bought them cause he used this pic.and therefore this is what I exspected to get.
Well, you must have gotten bluegrass aquatics thinking about how "true" their red texas are because they have taken down the picture of the SRT they advertise for the RT they sell. The only place I have seen with quality SRT(pictured) is fengshui aquatics. I'm sure there are others, I just haven't seen them and expect to pay $200+ easily. Unfortunately fengshui's website is down and to be honest, I'm not sure if they are even in business anymore.

SRT's of that quality cost a hell of alot more than $200, and Fengshui never had SRT's of that quality for sale. The only RT's I saw for sale by Fengshui were just that, RT's, and most were orange, not red, and most weren't even fully peeled. That's what you got for $200 from Fengshui. High quality SRT's start at $1,000 and go up from there.
Did you miss the "+"? And I've seen better quality RT from fengshui than "orange RT" for $200. And where would you find a $1000 SRT?

No, I didn't miss the +. SRT's of the quality shown by Bluegrass cost $1,000+. You don't typically see SRT's in North America, you need to go shopping in SE Asia for high quality SRT's, and the really nice examples, like the ones you see all the douche bag vendors showing pics of on their websites in North America will cost you $2,000+.

That isn't an SRT, it's an RT, that hasn't even completely peeled. Does he stock some decent specimens that might fall into the SRT category from time to time, yes, but he's not selling them for anywhere near $200.
IMO the entire "Red" Texas category is for the most part a scam, with most "red" texas actually being orange, and almost none of them being "super". That, or like the most recent trend in NA they are actually Kamfa flowerhorn, and not "red", or "texas", at all.
Caveat emptor, no one is selling SRT's, or even high quality RT's (that are actually red, not orange) for $20 such as Bluegrass has listed.

Its one thing if you are using an image supplied by your wholesale to describe what your fish is, its a complete other to google "Red Texas" and find the nicest one you can find.
