you mean your ray? ok i'm sorry to hear that, it really upsets me when people don't do their research and buy rays, and all you told us was the temp, amm, nitri. we also need to know ph and nitrates. how long have you had your tank? please be more prepared before next time and go to your local library and look for dr. ross's book guide to owning freswater stingrays.

first of all, i did do research, if you would have read the previose posts, you would have noticed that. Second of all, what makes you so educated on this topic, i would have appreciated the help, but your sarcastic attitude does not help the situation. Many qualified people have given their advice and have tried to help me out with my situation (and to them, thankyou) I did do the resarch, and most of all, i do not have to justify myself to you. Perhaps on just some silly little whim, just perhaps people have fish that die. I understand that this may be hard for you to grasp, but things do die. Anyone who knows anything about fish understands that fish do die just like any other living organism. You must be in that .01% of fish keepers that have never had a fish die, or in that .000001% of people that have never made a mistake.Yes it is a shame, and a costly error on my part. I am starting to believe that maybe my eel had something to do with his demise. So next time before you start runnign your mouth and telling people the are f'ed. You might want to do your research so you dont look an idiot.

umm i dont recall looking like an idiot, i called it on the 2nd post, i am looking like an ass though, maybe next time when you decide to research more and research the topic of TANKMATES because obviously you missed that section! GL next time.

"i did do research, it was limited, but research was done"

the ray hasnt died yet, he is holding on to dear life.

Sorry for the late reply...I did not this anywhere but if someone asked already, I am sorry... How long have you had the ray?

If it is a new ray, there may be nothing you can do, sometimes shipping damages a ray (or any fish) in ways that we can't visually tell untill the health starts to go...

If the ray is swimming in the top non-stop, not settling down at all, I believe that it will not survive, sorry, just my personal experience. I also don't believe that this would be your fault, or lack of research, nor do I think that this is the sellers fault, who knows what happens to boxes while en route to your home?

If you have had the ray for a while and suddenly it is getting sick there may be hundreds of causes, I agree with holywood (not his attitude) that we need more water parameters to be able to me more helpful. I don't agree with the temperature issue, my rays are at 86F and very happy, same as all my discus.

Water change is a good idea, salt is also excellent, good luck, hope it pulls through.
