petsmart red texas mistake amazing flowerhorn

not to sound stupid but what is a kmfa and how does it differ from a regular flowerhorn? eyes maybe? and is the red fader odd or uncommon? i also got 2 others ,but one does not look like a flowerhorn.. i should post a pic of it so you can see it. i am not sure what it is can from the same tank as my big guy.. they all came home the same day.. i bought eight ,and 4 lived

There no regular Flowerhorn but several different breeds each of which have many strains. Your most basic is ZZ, Red Dragon being a strain of that. Kamfa is another breed, they typically have a few Vieja traits. The strain of Kamfa that you and others have also have Herichthys in them which is why most have yellow eyes.

i hate bugging ya but you seem to have alot of knowledge on this type of fish.. what is Herichthys. i was a piranha guy,and got into cichlids ,and now have flowerhorns.. so i am sorry for all the newb questions

Not a problem. Herichthys is a genus of fish, two common fish in the genus are Carpintis and Cyanoguttatus.

here is an updated pic of my kmfa i got from petsmart 4 months ago .. crazy in 3 weeks his color has changed completely.. i first thought he was sick cause he stated with spots then he started changing almost overnite.. i swear this is the same fish.. not sure if this is normal or not lol some of the pics are blurred,but i am posting them so you can see how fast this happened. these are over a 3 week period. the last pic does not do him justice,but he is still changing colors. his orange is getting brighter everyday
