respectfully I think its more about misplaced hero worship ...your guy got busted so your embarrassed by it so now you hate him ...same with teams.. your team loses a couple of games ...all the sudden they suck...just because they hurt YOUR feelings...(not you personally)

I personally dont think any atheletes should be held up as examples ...unless they are doing society grave harm.....such as rape ...murder or child molestation...STEROIDS ARE BAD.... It's even worse when the tour de France "wanna be's" ride in the middle of the street clogging up traffic when I'm on my way to work....nothing more annoying..
