Well, the driving tour came and went and I'm still here... luckily...
If you read the fine print of the offer, they say cars 'subject to availability', so it wasn't all the cars I mentioned from their ad.
The Bentley was wrecked and unavailable, somebody broke the Trans mount on the GT500 so it was also unavailable. They let us have extra time in the cars so I wasn't complaining.
Here's what we ended up driving, and no speeding allowed, only got these up to about 50...
Ferrari F430.
Great looking car with an awesome sound, the mid-engine is visible right behind you roaring away. Personally I wouldn't spend the money on this even if I had it, this car belongs on a track. Very bumpy on the public roads, they have this car configured for the track but still awesome to drive. So awesome.
Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder.
Awesome car, but not a fan of convertibles especially in December. Nice to drive though, this one will turn heads every time.
Lotus Exige Supercharged.
This car was so much fun to drive, I really wish I could drive this one all out. The second pic is for size reference, that's not me. You're sitting basically on the ground with your shoulder touching the passenger. This was the only true manual car which made it even more fun.
Audi R8.
I wasn't overly excited about this car, what can I say, personal preference.
Porsche 911 Turbo S.
Saved the best for last - I figured it wouldn't be anything special but I was blown away. 0-60 in 2.6 seconds, this would also make a great every day driving car. This was a new car, 2013 model, definitely my favorite. After the tour, the co owner took me out in it to show me what 0-60 in 2.6 seconds felt like. I've never experienced anything like it, and broke my personal land speed record at an unprintable speed (on the interstate no less!)
Some of the cars I could never dream to afford (hello Lambo), but I think I have a new goal of getting a Porsche some day.
I only took a couple videos, and they ended up short, shaky and not really hearing the engine like it really sounded. I highly recommend checking out something like this in person!
