They're horned chubs if you want to get technical. We call them creek chubs as well.

It's a fallfish, not a hornyhead chub or creek chub.

Yep it hurts mine too but red was on sale. Probably not worth the 3 bicks or whtever but ill change it.

Picking them up a 20 gallon long today. I think the biggest they get in captivity is around 8 in so they should be good. Also will they like sand or gravel??

My guess would be sand as most of the places that I catch them are sandy or muddy bottoms, but thats more of an observation than fact.
