Good thing you saved it! Now add some Non-iodised salt which helps in Osmoregulation and put the temp. to 30 C.
Remove all the uneaten prawns i see in the bottom it spoils the water!

Thanks, yea I was thinking of adding salt but I'm worried it will have a negative effect on my catfish? And I had just fed them, I always remove anything they don't eat after 10 mins

Is your pond covered? Arowana do jump. Clean water is going to be the best remedy for healing those wounds. To get to worried if the arowana doesn't eat right away, it may take awhile for him to get settled.

Yes, and ok I always do lots of water changes anyway, I get paranoid that something's wrong even if the tests are fine and i'v just done a PWC, think i'v got fish OCD lol and thanks for mentioning about the feeding, I didn't expect him to eat the 1st day but I would be worried if he wasn't eating after a couple.

I can't move the cat because my other tank is way to small for him... Would a low dose of salt be ok or is it just really bad for catfish? And I will keep you updated, the redness on his nose/mouth has faded a lot so looks like he is on the right track :) I will try to get pics tomorrow
