Very nice on the new shots! Sorry to hear about the Royal Pleco:( Looks like Ich to me. Velvet tends to look bigger and a little fuzzy looking.

Thanx bro, I appreciate the compliment! I know I'm not as good as some on here but I'm trying. These pics make me realize just how much I miss my Scherz. which is still one of my favorite fish I've kept so far. As for the pleco I wasn't sure what it was as no one else showed symptoms and the pleco was dead in less than a day. So I went what I considered the safe route and treated with API's General Cure and I'm hoping that cleared what ever it was up. Also got myself a bigger L330 to replace the little L191 and so far he's doing well(knock on wood). I apologize I'm very superstitious when it comes to my fish and luck for some reason hence the knock on wood comments, which I literally do every time I say my fish are doing well. Here's a couple of pics of the L330 that I got, he's about 7-8 inches and I picked him up from Shark Aquarium for a decent price cost me about $60 and I picked him up so no shipping charges. :)

Great fish and absolutely insane photo skills!!

Thank you, I truly appreciate the compliments. The fish so far are more a result of choosing good initial stock then anything I've done but the pic quality is part decent camera, novice skill and a lot of patience. I foolishly feed these guys by hand so they generally wind up getting excited when ever I approach the tank making picture taking difficult. That plus I still haven't had the opportunity to buy a remote over head flash or better lens than the standard 18-55mm make taking decent pics difficult even with a DSLR. Plus I don't have Photoshop to help me out as it's just too expensive for me. I'd rather spend my money on fish and fish related equipment. So hopefully one day I'll have more skill and everything else I need to take some really great photos.

+1, what kind of camera?

Thanks for the compliment. I've got an old Canon EOS Rebel T1i with the standard 18-55mm lens. Getting decent pics is mostly about patience, waiting for them to get in just the right spot where the light is emphasizing their colors and for them to be in the mood to not be dashing around which is really hard with juveniles. Some of the pics on the first pages where actually taken with basic point and shoots with the flash off. The fact that as far as I'm concerned there's not much difference between them and these newer pics means it's more about patience, lighting and a clean tank than anything else when taking pics. At least that's my opinion though I will admit that I don't take pics as well as a lot of others on here so take my opinion with a grain of salt. If you want any tips feel free to hit me up and I'll tell you where to start with your settings to get slightly better pic quality.

Exactly this!

What is the cichlid, in the first series, orange with balck spots, between gar pix?
