from your experience whats the growth rate of jags

Depends on the fish, but jags will get BIG and most of them tend to be less tolerant to tankmates. It may or may not work but who knows. GreenTerra had a huge jag who lived semi peacefully with a huge RD, Persei (sp), Festae, Bocurtti (sp) all huge full grown male specimens. The Jag was the boss and lived with them all for his entire life. So anything can happen.

I hope its a male jag tho I don't want a female cuz I don't like the vertical bar I like the full jag pattern, my male jag is doin pretty good lately his appetite is thru the roof and he basically eats all the food before even the bigger fish even know it(not that they don't eat), hes so cute lmaoo wit his cranky look
 
ok but greenterra has an 800 gal tank that almost 7 times the size of mine lol....if I had an 800 gal im not gonna lie id stock it wit the same fish he got,tht tank is ill

It depends on what type of jag u have hondurans have golds and blues witch is the one I have I think costa rican are the ones that have the regular patter and nicuraguan has the bars with the patterson but no golds or blues and lastly the xanthic jag witch is the best looking an all orange jag can't be resisted

TBH if it is only going in a 125gallon tank, like most have said. It will only work for a matter of time till the jag gets large enough to claim it for his own. I remember when I had a 12'' beautiful jag, and I figured he could not get much bigger than that. One day a lfs had a full grown huge 16+'' jag and I was amazed at how long and thick he was. (no homo) Trust me, you don't realize how big these guys get until you see a full grown specimen in person. Just go with a solo jag for your 125, you will not regret it.

I know I wont be dissapointed, ill take ur advice on that, whatever happens happens if some gotta go then I guess so be it. if things get outta hand I cud always sell it to someone on here atleast ill be able to see em thru pics and stuff. cant wait til my jags big atleast enough to sex...if its a female ill just buy a male for her (I know the drill use the eggcrate divider wit a hole so he doesn't disembowel her at night lol)
 
I have only grown out one, it spent his entire life in a 75 and topped out at 16". That took 14 years he never had any tank-mates and seemed quite happy. If I had it to do over I would want at Least a 125 for one of them. I try to put fish in tanks that are wider ( front to back) then the fish will grow.
