What do you guys consider as an exotic pet? I hear anything from non-native or foreign, to anything that isn't a dog or cat. Also it seems that reptiles, bug cats, nonhuman primates are all lumped into the same category, what do you think? is keeping a corn snake the same as keeping a big cat?

I mean, generally, i guess the more apt description would be anything out of the ordinary...cats, dogs, horses, sheep, birds are not exotic pets.

A momgoose would be an exotic pet, for instance..

In MFK, "Reptiles, Amphibians, And Other Exotic Pets" basically means anything that isn't included in another part of this forum...

Just post in this section those not included in the other one intended for dogs, cats and birds. Sugar gliders, hedgehogs and ferrets count here.

I think its anythin unusual out of the ordinary somthin you normally wouldnt find outside, at a regular persons house, and is carried by a exotic animal dealer

With fish/reptiles/amphibians this doesn't really apply, because none of these have been domesticated, but in the case of mammals at least I would say that exotic pets are undomesticated species.

By birds if you mean like chickens, pigeons etc then I agree but other wise I consider birds such as Parrots to be Exotic Pets.
