Trimac family

Update: fry are all around a 1/4" long and are all over the tank. Mom Trimac just laid about 600 eggs again even with existing fry still in the tank. Kinda curious how that'll play out. I assume old fry will eat new fry.

Thanks guys. Yeah the male is a beast. I'm gonna have to find a way to unload some fry pretty soon. Looks like my Texas and jags and Cubans might be eating well pretty soon! Lol

Little update on these guys:
Male is now right at 10 3/4" and the female right at 7 3/4" and they throw out fry like convicts every 30 or so days. The male tends to get very aggressive with the female and I've had to seperate them twice because she was a little late on dropping eggs.

Just set up a 10g for these baby's from their last litter. These guys were eating their younger siblings so mom and dad snapped and started munching this group to defend the younger ones. 😳

NICE Pics Jake. iPhones take real nice pictures of moving fish. I call them tank busters. Size matters with them Trimacs. I wish I could have some tanks in my garage. But I dont think 113* would work well on my fish. How big do your mom and dad Trimac get? 4" or 8"? Can I keep them in a 10 gallon also? LOL ROFL. J/k AWESOME Pics Jake.
