You take that back! Robert Downey Jr. Is a saint! A saint! Lol. Dude can play a smooth character no matter what the role is. could carry a whole movie by himself. Didn't think tropic thunder was that good but his character was the funniest by far. I can see how he could come off like an arrogant ass but I guess that's why I like him.

Sorry but I don't think I will take it back,he's an annoying drug addict and they could have picked from a dozen other actors who could played the role well or better...Casting him is like Tom Criuse as Jack Reacher...how he portrayed him on screen was nothing like the way the character is in the books and he hampered my enjoyment of the movie.

I think the drug addict thing kinda shows no matter how much crap is going on in the guys life he can still shut it out and immerse himself in a role. I kinda dig the comeback story and true there are better actors out there but that doesn't mean they could play the role of Tony Stark better than he can. In truth he probably doesn't have to act that much in the Iron Man movies cuz that persona is how he is in real life. Dude is arrogant and full of himself but he never seems overwhelmed. It it only makes the moments he's humble even more sincere. Sorry I gotta go I'm late for my weekly Robert Downey Jr. Fan club meeting.
