How much is a bonded pair of Gorillus Umbee?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
FWP, so what d u say a pair like Prime and Zeo is $ valued at?

I wouldnt put a price on the original F0s.

I don't have Zoe any more. I sold her to AJ. And to be honest there isn't a true "bonded" pair of f1 gorillus yet. I just divided mine temporarily but that's because they just spawned and I'm leaving for two weeks and don't wanna come home to a dead batch and of umbee. But this is their second successful batch and they nested for 6 weeks before the first spawn and this is the first time I had to divide them but mostly due to precaution. Everyone who has a gorillus pair has had to divide them or will very soon. I would consider using dividers on and off is just being a responsible fish keeper. And after you get a couple successful spawns then you could say, yeah my pair is bonded and bred. In which case could constitute a higher price. And you have to remember that pair bonds for fish are easily broken so it would be hard to say what is bonded and what isn't. So I would assume that it's safe to say a pair is bonded after a couple of spawns.

And to reply to your question about my pair... Well I wouldn't sell my pair lol so how could I put a price on them:) but if I was I would take into consideration size, number if successful spawns etc

werd to the bird

I really just want a f+m that gets along with each other and together in a community tank. I dont really want a breeding pair. But for some ppl that's what they want

Well good luck on trying to find a pair if umbees that can peacefully exist in a community tank unless its a monster tank. Your prolly better off obtaining the community umbee pair with regular blue umbees. I don't think gorillus will allow that. and once they pair, the intent for them is to spawn. But I'm sure you will obtain a pair. If you want a peaceful pair of fish then maybe umbees aren't for you?

Its just another pair of umbee. The market is flooded with them. 100$ for the pair. Tops.

How many ppl U know can say they've been wanting or been raising Gorillus Umbees for many years or since they started the hobby? How many PPL have a full grown adult in their tank? lol I can't agree with your judgement mang. They are a pair of C. Gorillus to me.

They are not just another pair of umbee! That statement offends me and proves your ignorance and lack of expirience with umbees or gorillus!! You would have to raise them to be able to have an opinion. Can't judge a book by its cover bro.

Quite a few actually. I have been offered fry for free as well.

And C. Gorillus?? Really man?? It is just a color variant of C. Umbiferus. I'm not saying anything against them, I think that they are great looking fish, but they are not their own species.
