Wait, so u think he should use one of the eheims plus an fx5 and TWO ac110s on a 110g tank??? U do know that would be almost 20x turnover per hour right? That's beyond over filtration, even without the eheim it would be overkill with an fx5 and two ac110's. An fx5 pushes around 560gph with media, ac's are rated for 428, a 2215 does about 140 and the 2217 is closer to 215. I would either replace the smaller eheims with a 2262 or fx5 and add ONE ac110 (if u cant do a sump), or keep the eheims along with two ac's. That should put u right around 10x with plenty of mechanical filtration for your stock
Always remember grasshopper, it is not the amount of flow, but the management of said flow that counts. The more the better, always, the more the better.
Now, personally, if I didnt already own a canister like he did, i'd run an FX5 and twin AC110s. But again, thats just me.
