How many days per week do you guys feed

How is not healthy to feed ur rays twice a day?!?! if ur water cant support feeding ur rays u need more filtration and wc.

Because the amazon river is not a all you can eat buffet 365 days per year. They go half a year with less food than the other half. Food is seasonal maybe abundant on rare occasion. And they have to swim against a real current all the time ,not power heads. They consistently have to work for food . A good way to put it is ..... How many days do you think a ray eats 25 amazing store grade shrimp vs some days of not eating at all.

Because their living space is not so limited as in aquarium, big variety of food and its really hard to bring their enviroment into the glass box and maintain it as a river

They get bigger because they can live longer in the wild. Fat people don't live longer ,fat dogs don't live long (well mine didn't)

what makes any body think feeding your animals unhealthy unnatural amounts of Selected foods only is beyond logical.

Well I guess most of us are North Americans after all lol

I feed my leo 2-3 big meals a day 6 days a week and he still would eat more if I let him. I guess I have a different perspective than most. I like my rays to be nice and thick and healthy. with a small fat reserve in case disaster strikes and they stop eating. ?

I can guarantee my rays dwarf yours they never can eat three large meals per day . I have a certain ray that will out eat any on this forum " my big female boesemani " Joey knows

I am sure if we were in the wild we'd starve some days doesn't mean it's healthy? But everyone has their own methods of keeping rays works for u since urs a breeding. But still think they should be feed daily and not over fed either.

I think in the rivers it is a buffet. Especially during the dry season. During the rainy season it may be a bit harder to find a large meal but I believe they snack fairly often on small fish incects and and prawns.
