Shrimp or tilapia?

tilapia by far i'm not sure about the price comparison all i know is that tilapia fits easier in the fridge for me, and that i'm pretty sure you can feed shrimp 1 time or so a week but thats it's not very good because it contains a lot of thiamese (spelling). I keep shrimp to feed but all i can say is that i'd prefer tilapia over shrimp but i like to vary their diets.

talapia does not contain thiaminase. It is very healthy for fish. I used to feed my bichirs talapia fillets.

Shrimp can be fed in smaller doses. I heard that Tiger shrimp are the kind with the most thiaminase.

Tilapia's pretty cheap than shrimps in our place, but ofcourse you'll get more meat with shrimps than tilapia, you won't probably gonna feed all of it in a whole serving, least you'll ended up with a 0.55 pounds of fish/shrimp meat for a week. I've got 8 bichirs and they don't even have the capacity to eat all of it, IMO I feed in variety so there will be no just tilapia for the whole week.
