Another ATF riddle solved. Brevis & Forskahlii; same tank, same time. How to ID.

It does to me.

How big is he now? Yours looks rather like mine color wise and head wise, but I think yours is much more well-fed. Yours seems to aldeady be developing that big humpback as the big guy that I posted in your thread.

I'm really looking forward to watching your guy grow up next to mine. I'm really curious to know when they develop their signature dusky color as they grow. I suspect it'll be around a foot long.

He's still the same around 3 inches. And I'm hoping he takes pellets soon because I want him to grow and catch up to my goliath. I'll keep you updated on the "brevis". Like you said it's going to be interesting seeing our guys grow up and comparing them.

These are horrible pics. But the first pic you can see the grey edge on the adipose fin. You can see it better in person.

Oh man this is making me excited for this weekend, to pick up my FATF! So ready for this guy, can't wait till the red comes out on his tail

where are you getting the FATF?
 
Tydus I'm really curious to see what comes of yours. With how small it is it's really hard to tell. The head in this newest batch of pics looks rather like a FATF in some and a BATF in others. Keep in mind that the two fish I used in this thread were 6" and 7" respectively, yours is much smaller. That being said, I'm now even more curious to see what comes of yours.

Matt, your video isn't working yet. I'll check it out more when I get back from my run. The tail of your fish in the image for the vid certainly looks like that of a FATF. The pics you text me of that guy typically aren't the best. These fish are a nightmare to photograph!
