Omega 1 vs NLS

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Newer food that is all the rage in canada is Northfin, it's taking over from NLS up here. Better quality and overall a better reaction from fish ie colour/breeding etc

Lol Clay is not a quality improvement in my eyes. That was Dainichis gimmick and I ain't buying.

And if it was such a rage why have I not been able to get it in Florida? More aquarium fish come out of this state than any other. If NF really wanted to make an impression, let the breeders and farms down here have a crack at it.

So according to this list omega one is better than NLS. Please no stupid arguments. That is directed towards everyone not the poster I quoted. I am open to all choices I feed both as of now but am swaying towards omega. I used NLS only because of all the hype on this site over it. I used it exclusively for around 6 months and I didn't notice any difference or much growth. Omega 1 on the other hand I have noticed significant growth and much better colors in only 2 months. I know I can search and look through threads but I just wanted info on the two brands. The thread is not about north fin or any other foods no offense. I'm sure that north fin is a great food but they don't sell it around me and I enjoy taking my children to the lfs when I need to purchase food or other products. I like how NLS and omega are dense and don't cloud water. I would just love to hear solid info on both not a ridiculous fight over why NLS is the best because I don't think we really know. I just want to make an educated choice on which food I will feed so the fish can get used to just one staple pellet. Thank everyone for taking time to read and post. Also the link worked this time.

Literally every cichlid breeder in ontario has made the switch, there are issues with selling the food down south, and it will be rebranded something else as far as i've been told.

Once again a superior product has been produced by canadians, and it will eventually catch on elsewhere.
