The Walking Dead

I have a few issues with what happened. 1)The Gov's people didn't want to do this and only agreed because no lives were suppose to be lost. More then just that girl should have refused to fire after the Gov hacked Hershel. She still went in after that scene. 2) How did the Gov's girlfriend get there(beside what was mentioned), she couldn't have carried her daughter the whole way. 3) I know they were trying to honor the comics but the Gov should have be able to chop Hershel's head with one swip. In the comic the Gov nearly died and only had 1 arm. Michonne cuts heads off all the time with 1 try.

4) Ok, Rick was shot in the leg. Gov was shot in the arm/shoulder. I'm sorry but I find it hard to believe that the Gov could take Rick. The Gov never showed any signs of pain or weakness. Rick also had to have more training(since he was a cop). 5)The Zombie was only about 2 inches from biting Daryl's head then the next scene showed Daryl using him as a shield. Not buying that.

6)Also throughout season 4 they show alot of Zombies around the prison yet we are suppose to believe there were only 2 (which the Gov shot)at the beginning. Then later closer to the end of the battle there were a few by the cars/trucks (that the gov left behind) that just suddenly reacted to the noise

Despite these tidbits I still enjoyed it

Its about time someone killed the Gov. Just wish he suffered more. Hershel's expression on his face before he was killed was interesting too. At least he looked/felt hopeful and not terrified.
The theory behind that was Hershel kind of felt proud of Rick on how he is learning and improving. Almost since the beginning Hershel has been trying to 'train' Rick.

@Sumoninja , when I click on your gif and open it in it's own tab, it does move. It does appear that he is holding something

Haha, I love your plot holes

I think those with military background were on board with the governors plan but was surprised when the rest didn't back down, especially when the gov went down. He did say they had to prepare in case his plan didn't work.

I was also surprised he didn't have a sniper on Rick

i'm surprised the prison group didn't have a sniper on the gov too

and did I mention i'm so stoked they're done with the prison?

lmfao @ sniper carl

he was all telling daryl like, I got this, I can end this now, i'm a good shot. made me chuckle

Warborg, about megan getting to the prison with her mom. They were parked somewhere outside the prison by the water and when she shows up there was a car with the passenger and backdoor open, it appears she drove

Absolutely, you could see that through the expression of hope and pride on his face. He did a great job portraying his frame of mind without the need/opportunity for words. I think he knew he was going to die, but also knew he had been successful 'training' Rick. It looked like he was willing to sacrifice himself to save his group. The same way he put himself at risk to help those who were sick in the prison even if it meant losing his own life. Hershel's character has also evolved from the days on the farm with his barnful of zombies and acceptance of the need for change. It will be interesting to see what happens with the group now that the strongest voice of reason is gone. Yet another layer of complexity added to the dynamics and challenges.

Im glad they finally killed the Governor because his storyline went on for way too long. Last Sunday's episode was a really good one and the way they killed him was pretty satisfying. I wish Hershel wouldve lived though because i liked him. Tyreese is a more annoying character and they shouldve killed him instead.

I wouldnt say that it went too far as he was a good enemy of the group and as much as the governor got under my skin I think they could have kept him around until the end of the season rather than this mid season finale/send off as we all knew he would be killed,it was just a matter of time...This was one of the best episodes to me,probably because the gov was killed lol,but it is going to be interesting to see how they top this at the end of the season.

The Governor was an interesting villain, but the zombies are what make the show cool. All the time they spent on him took the show's focus away from the zombies and it wasn't as fun as season 1-2. That recent episode where it was all about the governor and how he meets the new group was so slow and boring. I'm really glad they moved away from the prison and killed the Governor so I can finally have me some more zombies!
