Other clue is to see the anal pore ... if it is U shaped then it is female and if it is V shaped it is male .....

seems to be a very small tank for breeding ....... nd also ur FHs r big ... fr breeding u gotta get a big tank or else d fighting wil be more ...
Actually there were fighting before but past 3 days there are not fighting and they are cleaning the place ....
The way they have cleaned the tank bottom, I won't be surprised if the female lays eggs in a couple of days. Since the space is small, keeping the parents after the egg laying process could be risky. I would have taken out both the fish and let the eggs hatch by themselves with a lot of aeration and 28/30 degree temperature.
