Well the stock from Gunpowder Aquatics came in today! Finally got around to getting some pics and video clips. Quite a few folks had questions regarding this vendor as there was little reviews/info available on them. I can't say how ridiculously pleased I am with the way Richard and his company packaged this shipment. I ordered:
Your Order Contains:
6 x Blue Acara - Andinoacara pulcher - 2"
8 x Threadfin Acara - Acarichthys heckelii - 2"
1 x Rainbowfish Starter Pack
1 x Big Bag of Black Neon Tetras
1 x Red Fin Speckled Pleco - Lasiancistrus sp. L178
1 x Yellow Spot Pleco - Hemiancistrus sabaji - 4-5"

They were doing great and packaged quite well. Taped many times in a large styrofoam box, with the fish wrapped in what looked to be insulation. Multiple heat packs were added as well at no charge. At their low prices,

Judging by this photo posted on another forum, I feel that I definitely have 6 blue acara :)

And thanks for the comment! I've got some videos I need to upload yet, but the sounds needs to be edited as my brother in law was over at the time and hes rather loud. The activity level is definitely there. The tapajos definitely made home real quick. The heckelii seem to shoal with blue acara pretty often which is neat to watch. There was a tiny LF albino bn pleco but I turned my back and he was gone. Doubt I'll see him again for a month if ever, given his size.

nice set up it looks so natural :)

It seems like the blue acara's have a bit of orange in the tail? Is that normal at a juvenile size? They're about 2" I thought I'd read that blue acara's never have orange, but maybe I'm seeing things.

A nice bunch of stock from the vendor. Blue Acaras can show quite a bit of orange in the fins and body. Here's a young, 3" pair with that coloration. They are WC.

Expect missing black neons as the acaras get larger.
