Can anyone identify my gar? Pretty sure it's a spotted Florida. Also my gar is like everything trained. It eats from flakes to pellets to dried shrimp...

spotted florida is really a thing. it's either a spotted or a florida. it's hard to tell but most likely a florida.

Also got another question... How do you prevent over feeding gars if you just leave the feeders In the tank... I read here that they should have constant access to food... I only feed(replenish) feeders once a month.. But it scared me last week after it was lethargic and ate 10 minnows.... It recently gained a lot of bulk. It's not as skinny as it was when it was in the store

Gar's don't over eat, they will stop when there full. I kept minnows with mine always for the first month I had them then started the pellet training. know I feed then pellets twice a day. 3 or 4 a peace each feeding. I'm feeding primarily massivore.
