brewerytattooer I like your building style, same I use minus the middle board, I just use bigger boards top and bottom. Fill it all the way up! I fill mine 3" from the top (240+gal 4x4x30")

I love red tailed cats But If i get one I want it to be for the life of the fish and at 4 ft length I would need a much bigger tank or pond to be comfortable with it... doubt the wife would want me building a 12 ft x 6ft pond in our bedroom...
